Actor beaten up in Quezon City bar

MANILA, Philippines – Controversial actor Baron Geisler was beaten up during a brawl that occurred during a fundraiser concert in a bar in Quezon City on Friday.

A video posted on Facebook by Medmesiah CombatBoi showed a disoriented Geisler being assaulted by a still unidentified person.

According to Medmesiah, the incident happened at the Tomato Kick bar during a fundraiser concert for Maricon Montajes.

The video showed Geisler about to shake a person’s hand to settle a misunderstanding. Suddenly, the man released a punch that caught Geisler off guard. Cooler heads intervened and restrained Geisler’s attacker.

According to witnesses Geisler confronted the person for allegedly disrespecting a bartender over a cocktail drink. The commotion started when the person cursed at Geisler for meddling, starting a heated argument.

The incident happened weeks after viral video showed Geisler attacking assaulted Khalil Verzoza, a University of the Philippines film student.
