‘Partygoers sold drugs at Pasay concert’
MANILA, Philippines – Some of the attendees at the 10-hour concert in Pasay City reportedly sold party drugs such as Ecstasy and “green amore” during the event.
“Some of the partygoers sold illegal drugs,” a source, who asked not to be named, told The STAR yesterday.
The source explained that the sale of illegal drugs might have been done among small groups of friends.
“They targeted mostly young people from exclusive schools or young professionals who can afford (the drugs),” the source said.
He said he saw at least 14 people being brought out of the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds a few hours after the Closeup Forever Summer party started.
“The victims looked pale. Some stiffened, some even collapsed,” he said.
He added that some partygoers suffered nosebleeds.
Wilfredo Tierra, medico-legal officer of the National Bureau of Investigation, said some of the victims suffered from internal bleeding.
Police said Bianca Fontejon, 18, and Lance Garcia, 36, died of “massive heart attack.”
The other victims were Ariel Leal, 22; Ken Migawa, 18, and Eric Anthony Miller, 33, an American.
Forensic tests
Authorities are conducting forensic medical examinations on the bodies of two of the victims to determine the cause of death, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Aranas, director of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory, said.
Aranas said forensic experts would conduct toxicological and histopathological tests on the bodies of Miller and Migawa.
