Woman in viral videos eyes raps

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A woman who was seen in three viral videos being verbally abused by a fellow passenger is considering pressing charges against him.

The woman, 22, has met with lawyer Raymond Fortun to discuss the charges she may file against John Michael Musni, Superintendent Alex Alberto said yesterday.

Three videos, uploaded by Soy Gonzales, showed Musni shouting at the woman in a passenger van at around 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

The van was going through Zabarte Road in Barangay Kaligayahan during the incident, police said.

Musni supposedly became angry at the woman when she refused to move from her seat beside the door as she was getting out at the next stop.

Musni then cursed and yelled at the woman, telling her he would punch her if she did not shut up.

He reportedly punched the woman a few minutes later but the incident was not recorded on camera.

Musni could face charges of physical injury, unjust vexation, and oral defamation, police said.

He was later identified by a colleague of the woman as a former patient at the Bernardino Hospital, where she works as a nurse.

Police officers went to Musni’s house in North Olympus to confirm his address, which would be used if the victim decides to press charges, Alberto said, adding that Musni was not home.
