Man shoots ex-partner, self

MANILA, Philippines – A 25-year-old man shot his former partner then killed himself in Caloocan City at past midnight Monday.

Albert Gardose accosted call center agent Genica Bagao, 25, as she was walking with her cousin along Libis Bukid at around 12:30 a.m. 

The two had a heated argument before Gardose shot Bagao repeatedly. He fled toward his house, but stopped and shot himself in the head, police said.

Gardose was declared dead on arrival at the Valenzuela General Hospital while Bagao was taken to the MCU Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

Witnesses said the two separated after living together for more than a year. Gardose reportedly got jealous when he found out that Bagao started seeing another man.
