4 hurt as jeepney crashes

MANILA, Philippines - Four people were injured after a passenger jeepney crashed into a motorcycle parked along Congressional Avenue in Quezon City on Thursday night.

Police identified the victims as Darwin Aranda, 39; Tolentino Kevin, 24; Karen Peralta, 32; and Donna Kate Peralta, 25.

Rescuers brought them to the Quezon City General Hospital for treatment.

Traffic investigators said the jeepney driven by Roldan Reymark, 22, was headed to EDSA Muñoz when it sideswiped a motorcycle in Barangay Bahay Toro at around 9:45 p.m.

Due to the strong impact, the jeepney crashed into a concrete post and turned on its side.
