MIAA donates old bomb-sniffing dogs
MANILA, Philippines – The Manila International Airport Authority, which runs the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, donated yesterday six bomb-sniffing dogs to the police Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup).
The dogs, ranging in age from nine to 11 years, are deemed too old to efficiently perform their jobs, officials said.
Four are Labrador Retrievers, one is a Belgian Malinois and one is a Jack Russell.
The Avsegroup’s K9 management unit said the dogs will be taken care of and can still be used for breeding.
