Weapons, appliances seized in Bilibid raid

MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Corrections seized improvised weapons and other contraband during a raid on the New Bilibid Prison (NBP)’s maximum security compound in Muntinlupa yesterday.

NBP Superintendent Richard Schwarzkopf said the raid on the dormitory of the Batman gang yielded an aquarium, appliances, electronic gadgets and liquor.

“We confiscated fewer contraband, but we will continue Oplan Galugad to rid the prison of banned items,” he said.
