Man hangs self in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines - A 27-year-old man reportedly hanged himself following a drinking session with his friends in Barangay Teachers Village, Quezon City early yesterday morning.

Neomindes Darantan was found hanging inside his room with a belt tied around his neck at around 4 a.m., police said.

Reports said Darantan excused himself after consuming several bottles of liquor and went to his room.

One of his friends, Annie Soqueno, knocked on the door several times but Darantan failed to respond.

Soqueno peeped through a gap in the wall and saw Darantan hanging.

Police probers are conducting investigation to determine if there was foul play in Darantan’s death.
