Robber mobbed, nabbed
MANILA, Philippines – A man believed to be a member of a robbery and gun-for-hire group was beaten up and arrested by an angry mob in Malabon City Tuesday night.
Eric Gabriel, 36, was nabbed by the residents after he was seen roaming Barangay Tonsuya with a gun tucked in his waist, Superintendent Ariel Fulo, assistant chief of police for administration, said.
Fulo said he received information that Gabriel was waiting for a possible victim prior to his arrest.
Police recovered from the suspect a .38-caliber pistol.
Fulo said Gabriel had served time for robbery.
