Scavenger stabbed dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines – A 29-year-old scavenger was stabbed dead in Malabon City Tuesday night.

Mark Aurell Abliter, of Barangay Catmon, had just finished playing billiards when an unidentified man stabbed him at around 11 p.m., city police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. said.

Abliter died at the scene. The suspect fled after the attack.

Police probers have yet to establish the identity of the assailant and the motive for the killing.
