Man jumps to death from Napocor tower

MANILA, Philippines - A 26-year-old man reportedly jumped to death from the National Power Corp. tower in Project 8, Quezon City Saturday night.

Police said Jason Gabriel Sto. Domingo suffered severe injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital.

Investigators said emergency responders tried to convince Sto. Domingo to go down but he jumped off the tower at around 8:30 p.m. after hours of negotiation.

According to reports, Sto. Domingo climbed up the tower at past 4 p.m.

Members of the Quezon City Police District and Bureau of Fire Protection responded to the scene and set up an airbag to rescue him, but to no avail.

Sto. Domingo could have been high on drugs when he leaped to his death, police said.
