Debris from hotel demolition falls on pedestrian

MANILA, Philippines – An Australian woman was injured while a Toyota Fortuner was damaged after debris fell onto the street during the demolition of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Makati City yesterday afternoon.

Suzanne Mellor was rushed to the Makati Medical Center at around 1:35 p.m., according to a report reaching the Makati police.

The demolition of the hotel also caused a traffic gridlock along Makati Avenue and Paseo de Roxas.
