Man dies in motel after taking sex drug

MANILA, Philippines - A 49-year-old man died in a motel in Sta. Cruz, Manila Wednesday afternoon after he reportedly took a “Chinese sex enhancer capsule,” police said yesterday.

Cecilio Javier, a sales agent of HBR Industrial Crane Contractor Rental and Services, died at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Senior Police Officer 2 Richard Escarlan said.

Escarlan had checked in at around 1 p.m. at the Paradis Hotel with his 22-year-old lover and had taken the drug, identified only as a “stamina enhancer” before they had sex. 

The woman said they have a child and was only 17 when she started having a relationship with Javier.
