Pasay mayor, rival file bids

MANILA, Philippines – Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto and his rival, businessman Jorge del Rosario, filed yesterday their certificates of candidacy (COCs).

Calixto was accompanied by his running mate, Noel “Boyet” del Rosario, and the candidates for councilor running under the Liberal Party (LP) banner.

Calixto is seeking to be reelected to his third and final term as mayor.

His rival, a businessman and former head of the city government’s business permits and licensing office, is not related to Calixto’s running mate.
