4 Pinoys in Canada killed in car crash

MANILA, Philippines - Four Filipino workers in Canada were killed in a car accident in the province of Alberta last Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday.

DFA spokesman Charles Jose said the Philippine consulate general in Vancouver confirmed the death of the Filipinos. 

“The consulate has requested our honorary consul general in Edmonton to extend assistance to the families of the victims,” Jose said in a press briefing. 

The DFA identified one of the fatalities as Eva Janette Caperina, 41, who worked as a nanny in Alberta.
