3 nabbed for motorbike theft

MANILA, Philippines - Three men were arrested in a raid on a motorcycle repair shop in Parañaque City Thursday.

Businessman Alvin Siasat, mechanic Ronel Escobillo and Redante Babor were apprehended at the Carlos Cycle Care shop, where five stolen motorcycles were also recovered.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Ariel Andrade said the suspects allegedly tried to escape by taking a motorcycle driven by Rodel Abanag at gunpoint.

The arrest came after victim Jordan Velarde sought police assistance after spotting his motorcycle in the shop. Velarde told police the suspects took his motorcycle at gunpoint.
