Bautista OKs rice subsidy for public school personnel

MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has approved an ordinance granting a P1,500 quarterly rice allowance for public school personnel in the city.

He said over the weekend that the subsidy will help teachers and non-teaching personnel of the division of city schools cope with the rising cost of rice and other basic commodities.

The ordinance was introduced by Councilor Godofredo Liban II of District 5.
