‘Salvage’ victim found in drum

MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man, believed to be a victim of summary execution, was found inside a drum in Malabon City yesterday morning.

Police have yet to identify the victim described to be between 35 and 40 years old and clad in a yellow undershirt and denim shorts. He bore a gunshot wound in the neck.

Investigators said the victim was discovered by residents of Mabolo street in Barangay Maysilo at around 4:30 a.m.

Police said the man could have been killed elsewhere and dumped in Malabon.

He was the fifth victim of summary execution to be found in the city since last month.
