Bus catches fire at SLEX

MANILA, Philippines - A bus bound for Cubao caught fire along the South Luzon Expressway and caused a traffic buildup in the area yesterday morning.

No one among the passengers of the St. Jude Transit bus (plate number EPG-209) was hurt when it caught fire as the vehicle neared Nichols at around 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters extinguished the flames 30 minutes later, the Bureau of Fire Protection reported.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the incident caused a traffic jam that lasted for more than an hour.
