QCPD chief plays wedding singer

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The chief of the Quezon City Police District played the role of wedding singer as his policemen and their wives walked down the aisle for a mass renewal of vows at the QCPD chapel on Tuesday afternoon.

Chief Superintendent Richard Albano also served as “ninong” (godfather) to the seven couples.

Albano sang “Constantly,” which served as the wedding march for the couples.

The seven couples, who renewed their wedding vows, are members of the QCPD.

According to Albano, the mass wedding was his birthday gift to the men and women of the QCPD.

Albano celebrated his 54th birthday on Tuesday.

QCPD chaplain Fr. Alex Pardo said it was the first time a mass wedding was held at Camp Karingal.

Albano’s wife, Pinky, and QCPD deputy director for administration Senior Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao also served as wedding sponsors.
