3 from Mindanao nabbed for drugs
CEBU, Philippines - Operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), led by Senior Inspector Don Richmond Conag, arrested three men from Mindanao in two anti-illegal drugs operations Monday night in Dumaguete City.
First to be arrested was Judy Bapora Raja, alias “Loloy,” who hails from Basilan. Seized from him was a sachet and a “bulto” of shabu—weighing five grams and worth P17,500.
Another information reached the PDEU about two Muslim-speaking men who were found to be using a vehicle to deliver shabu through the Ro-Ro ports, in the guise of trading dried fish from Mindanao to be delivered to different cities in Negros Oriental.
Conag’s team arrested the two, Jul Saiyadi Tingkahan and Almakbul Mudam Hammain, both from Tawi-Tawi, who yielded three bultos of shabu—weighing 15 grams and worth P52,500—the P4,000 marked money used in the buy-bust, and their Mazda pickup.
Conag said PDEU is now investigating the possible link between Raja and the two other suspects. (FREEMAN)
