Pagbabago sa BuCor 'di nila magugustuhan - Aguirre

MANILA, Philippines — Nagbabala si incoming Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II sa  magiging pagbabago sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) kapag nakaupo na siya sa pwesto.

Sinabi ni Aguirre na magiging marahas ang pagbabago na hindi gugustuhin ng mga taga BuCor ngunit magiging epektibo aniya ito.

"I believe that I have the blessing of the president (Rodrigo Duterte). My action in the Bureau of Correction will be very, very drastic. They will not like it but it will be effective. BuCor shall be the first to taste that kind of administration from the secretary of justice," wika ni Aguirre pagkatapos ng proklamasyon nina president-elect Duterte at vice president-elect Leni Robredo kahapon sa Batasan Pambansa.

Hindi na naman nagbigay pa ng detalye si Aguirre sa kaniyang mga planong gawin sa BuCor ngunit sinabing magiging tapat siya at hindi tiwali sa kaniyang trabaho kumpara sa mga nakaraang humawak ng pwesto.

"Corruption is zero and that is my marching order from the president. Issues will be against corruption and graft. 'Yan ang pagtutuunan natin ng pansin," dagdag ng incoming secretary.

Batch mates sa San Beda College of Law sina Aguirre at Duterte, kung saan nagtapos bilang class valedictorian ang papasok na kalihim.

Magkasama rin ang dalawa sa Lex Talionis fraternity.

Nakatakdang pulungin ni Duterte ang kaniyang mga iuupong gabinete mamayang hapon sa Davao City.
