Ford PH delivers record November sales

Ford sold 1,003 Ranger pickups in November, up 28 percent from the same month last year.

MANILA, Philiipines - Ford Philippines recently announced a record performance for the month of November with retail sales rising 13 percent from a year ago to 3,408 vehicles on the back of continuing strong demand for EcoSport, Everest and Ranger.

“Our top-selling vehicles helped deliver a record November performance,” said Ford Philippines managing director Bertrand Lessard. “We are confident to close out the year on a high note as our showrooms across the country are remaining busy.”

Ford’s year-to-date sales through November have increased five percent to 31,994 units.

The segment-defining Ranger continued its momentum with November sales increasing 28 percent from the previous year to 1,003 vehicles. Year-to-date sales for the ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ranger—the country’s second bestselling pickup—have risen 25 percent to 9,225 units.

Sales of the Everest SUV grew 15 percent year-on-year to 1,100 vehicles, driving its year-to-date sales to 10,873 vehicles. The Everest continues to have strong appeal among Filipino families as one of the smartest and safest vehicles in its segment.

The EcoSport compact SUV delivered November sales that rose just over one percent from a year ago to 1,110 vehicles, pushing its year-to-date sales up 11 percent to 9,849 units.

Ford’s North American-built vehicles also contributed to its November record. Retail sales for the Explorer premium SUV rose 25 percent from a year ago to 104 vehicles, bringing its year-to-date sales up 10 percent to 1,036 units. The Mustang recorded sales of 37 vehicles, pushing year-to-date sales up 31 percent to 377 vehicles.
