What do you think of P-Noy's high trust rating after his first 100 days as President?

-

William Gonzaga, Marikina City: It means that the majority of concerned Filipinos have entrusted the future of the country in the hands and heart of P-Noy who is the complete anti-thesis of PGMA.

Roger Caravana, Bulacan: The high trust rating of P-Noy means that he is overrated, considering that he committed two major blunders in his first 100 days in office.

Trusted President

Jumar King Rafanan, Ilocos Sur: I think P-Noy’s high trust rating means that many people believe in his capability to lead the Philippines to progress. I hope that in the coming years, his high trust rating will go higher and not lower.

Ruben Viray, Antipolo City: He is a well-loved and trusted President. His first 100 days in office have brought concrete results, thus his high trust rating from the majority of Filipinos.

Celina Denise Javier, Vigan City: The Filipino people have high hopes for our country. P-Noy’s high trust rating is a reflection of his integrity and credibility to lead our country to greatness once again.

Jose Fabello Jr., Cagayan de Oro City: People look up to the President. They are hopeful that he could be instrumental in bringing about positive changes in the country.

King Zeus Nitcha, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur: P-Noy’s high trust rating after his first 100 days as President makes a good impression. I hope this impression will last throughout his term.

Digoy Coro, Masbate: It shows that the greater majority trusts him. We believe in his good intentions.

Ruel Bautista, Laguna: P-Noy started his presidency on a clean slate without any extra baggage to pull him down. His only cross are his friends who could cause his downfall.

Mica Mae Galacgac, Ilocos Sur: The high trust rating should serve as an eyeopener for PNoy that he needs to do more so as not to lose the trust of the people.

Jimmy Donton, Palawan: People believe that a popular President like Noynoy can make a difference and so far, he’s doing the right thing leading the country to higher ground.

Dan Adviento, Ilocos Sur: A high trust rating means that P-Noy has done a wonderful job in his first 100 days in office. People trust him so he must in turn do everything for the betterment of the country in appreciation of public trust.

Rose Leobrera, Manila: People now have trust in the administration, unlike during Arroyo’s term, which was besieged with lies and deceit.

Gia Felicci Mathilda Alonzo, Vigan City: His high trust rating after 100 days as President is a sign that his countrymen have high hopes on his leadership.

Felix Ramento, USA: Because of the people’s high hopes, they do not seem to be distracted by the initial failures of P-Noy’s administration. It looks like they have fixed their attention on some bigger battles ahead like corruption, poverty, and lawlessness.

Lucas Banzon Madamba, Laguna: President Aquino’s high trust rating after his first 100 days as President is expected because of the enormous help and support which the Philippines got from abroad, especially from the United States.

Desuel Pardo, Mandaluyong City: P-Noy may never duplicate the charisma and wits of his late father but he has his own identity and style in drawing the support and trust of the public. His first 100 days as President are only a prelude to the realization of a better Philippines.

He deserves it

Sam Valenzuela, Victorias City: P-Noy deserves to get a high trust rating because he has shown how wholehearted he is in serving the nation despite the huge problems that he inherited from the previous administration.

Ric Vergara, Calamba: P-Noy deserves it as he is trying his best to govern the country well. As of now, I still fully trust him.

Mary Grace Carolino, Ilocos Sur: P-Noy has done his best in his first 100 days as President despite the challenges that he faced during this period.

Elizabeth Oximer, Negros Occidental: I voted for him and he delivered. Sa detractors ni P-Noy, mamatay kayo sa inggit!

Ed Gulmatico, Abu Dhabi: He deserves it. It only shows that the majority of Filipinos can now distinguish reality against fantasy, truth against hypocrisy and treading the right path against misleading and treating Filipinos as idiots.

Deo Durante, Camarines Sur: P-Noy, as we can see, is doing the best he could. We know that he is human but he is there trying to become superhuman just to serve the country.

A rarity

Rudy Tagimacruz, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon: For a 100-day-old President to obtain a high trust rating in this troubled country is a rarity.

Performance is the gauge

Larry Parroco, Quezon City: It’s the performance, not the high trust rating, that must be given emphasis.

Rico Fabello, Parañaque City: Congratulations, P-Noy! But now, enough with the talk and proceed with your work.

Plain and simple propaganda

Rey Onate, Palayan City: I think Pres. Noynoy Aquino did not receive a high trust rating. It is mere propaganda hatched by his so-called communications group.

Pedro Alagano Sr., Vigan City: Let him savor the high trust rating being peddled by his propagandists and cohorts. But just the same, I wish him good luck. I hope he survives all challenges that his administration will encounter until the end of his term.

Fulfill promises

Raymar Gurrea, Bacolod City: He should not rely on high trust ratings alone. What he promised in his campaign sorties should matter more.

Alexander Raquepo, Ilocos Sur: It is to be expected of a new President. What is important is that we feel the changes he promised during his inauguration. It seems that his focus for the past 100 days was largely Metro Manila. We could hardly feel the changes in the countryside.

Nestor Chan, Metro Manila: Noynoy’s presidency started with high expectations. I’m hoping that he will fulfill his promises, especially the investigation on the corruption scandals during the GMA administration.

Elmo Cruz, Manila: The overwhelming popularity of P-Noy that catapulted him to power keeps his trust rating high. His trust rating may zoom higher if and when his promise of positive change becomes a reality.

Johann Lucas, Quezon City: That high trust rating should push him to do well. The value of that trust rating will be seen probably after sometime when concrete results have been obtained.

Elpidio Que, Vigan: The euphoria of his election as President of our country has not waned. If he does not want his trust rating to drop further, he needs to do what he promised, like jailing the corrupt, tax evaders and smugglers.

Unquestionable integrity

Tino Abella, Masbate: His trust rating remains very high in spite of the hostage crisis. This is because of his unquestionable integrity, which is actually the primary reason why he was installed in office.

It’s only been 100 days

Ella Arenas, Pangasinan: His high trust rating shows that the people still have faith in him despite the mistakes committed by his official family. It is also an indication that he is making good on his promise to eliminate corruption and ensure good governance. Give P-Noy a chance to prove his worth because 100 days is so short a time to untangle the mess caused by the past administration.

Edwin Castillo, Tanauan City: P-Noy is honest and transparent. He admits his mistakes, particularly with regard the Aug. 23 hostage-taking fiasco. So far, he is doing good but still we need a road map for the Philippines.

Manuel Abejero, Pangasinan: To those whom I consider paid agitators, na walang magawa kundi manira at ngumawa, aba, marami sigurong perang nakurakot ‘yang financiers ng rallies na ‘yan. Tumigil muna kayo. It’s too early to tell. As for me, my prognosis about the current administration is positive.

J.R. Mondonedo Jr., Parañaque City: It’s only been 100 days so let’s wait and see what happens in the next few years. So far he is on the right track.

Germi Sison, Cabanatuan City: Despite heavy criticism, P-Noy is expected to draw more positive than negative grades in the days to come when our dreams for clean and effective governance are finally realized.

Joe Nacilla, Las Piñas City: P-Noy won the presidency and has a six-year-term. To grade him in the first 100 days alone is unfair. It will not depict the true picture.

How did that happen?

C.B. Manalastas, Manila: Unbelievable! Mr. Aquino may be sincere in serving the people but not a trickle of his campaign promises has reached us poor people during his first 100 days in office.

Modern Moses

Ricardo Tolentino, Laoag City: The high trust rating of the President after his first 100 days in office is a reflection of P-Noy as the modern Moses who will lead his countrymen to the promised land.

Clarion call

Luisito Vallo, Pangasinan: I think the administration should be alarmed and must make an effort to show that it is really working for good governance. His impressive trust rating should inspire P-Noy to mount a concerted effort to prove that those who voted for him as President were right in their choice.

Dennis Montealto, Mandaluyong City: He better watch out. His trust rating may peak for now, but where else will it go but down? His “boss” (we, the people) have so much expectations. He is trying hard to deliver since he has set his standards against those of the previous administration.

Stop the blame game

Ferdinand Rafer, Cavite City: P-Noy blames the past administration for his regime’s misfortunes but grabs credit for every good developments.

Rodolfo Talledo, Angeles City: P-Noy should refrain from talking about the perceived failures of the Arroyo administration and just concentrate on doing his own thing.

Ana Igloria, Laguna: The high trust rating is alright. The Filipino people really believe in P-Noy’s integrity that is why they voted for him. My only suggestion is for him to look forward and to focus on what he can do for the country instead of blaming the previous administration.

Heart for the masses

Jun Montebon, Parañaque City: Not bad, although there was a slide of 12 per cent. Note that it was the D and E classes that gave P-Noy the highest rating.

Loss of confidence

Norberto Robles, Taguig: The trust rating of P-Noy for his first 100 days in office is high but it still dropped from his previous rating of 85 per cent, which means that some 14 per cent have already lost confidence in his administration.

Ed Angeles, Pasay City: As a survey company said, P-Noy began his administration with a very high popularity rating. But after only 100 days in office, this rating has gone down by more than 10 points. Key word: Down.

Robert Young Jr., San Juan: P-Noy’s trust rating may still be high but it plunged by more than 10 per cent since he took the reins. Unless he does something about our economic problem, his rating will further deteriorate.

Which is which?

Ferdinand Rafer, Cavite: It’s either the people are giving him more time to prove his worth; people don’t expect too much from him because of his lackluster performance as a legislator; or people are tolerating his mediocrity as long as he remains incorruptible.

Headline: GMA invokes right to remain silent on ZTE

Tess Caalim, Antipolo City: I don’t expect her to make any statement. Invoking the right to remain silent is her only defense.
