Restobar "re-invents" to attract young customers

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's longest running restobar undergoes "re-invention" to better serve its regular clients and attract new customers.

The owners of Jazz n' Bluz have poured in new capital to re-invent the 14-year-old Jazz place and expand its market reach, this time targeting the young breed of night owls.

Operated by Rythmix Co. Inc., a company of Filipino and Japanese capitalists, Jazz n' Bluz  is now capitalizing on the young night life spenders by adjusting its offerings, sprucing up the ambiance, and strengthening its lineup of performers, said Mary Tambis, the company's marketing director.

Aside from slightly tweaking its offerings, the restobar is also transferring to a bigger and spacious place at Pasea Saturnino, Maria Luisa Road.

According to Nelin Tambis, the company's president, what sustained the restobar throughout these years is its consistent regard to customer service and food quality.

The mother-daughter tandem, with the help of their Japanese partner Yuko Ishikawa who actively promotes Jazz 'n Bluz in Japan, are the force behind the success of the restobar.

The new Jazz 'n Bluz in Paseo Saturnino boasts a setting capacity of 100. It is open for lunch, serving Filipino, "lutong-bahay" menus, said Nelin. — (FREEMAN)
