Pia Wurtzbach reacts to Marlon Stockinger’s rumored twins

MANILA, Philippines — “Huh? I don’t know anything about it,” an oblivious Pia Wurtzbach told reporters recently when asked to react about the rumored twins of her boyfriend, Marlon Stockinger with model Kit Barraquias.

“Are you sure that it’s the same Marlon?” the Miss Universe 2015 threw back at reporters during a group interview for her launch as Downy Parfum ambassador in Shangri-La The Fort.

“With these things, people have to be careful also because if these things do not turn out to be true, then their credibility is affected. So, I guess, we have to check pa,” she said about the issue.

On Thursday, reports of Barraquias’ admission that Stockinger is the “biological dad” of her seven-year-old twins surfaced. The model is willing to have a DNA test to prove Stockinger’s paternity. She, however, clarified that she came out to protect her children and not to reconnect with Marlon or ask for financial support.

Barraquias’ confession came a day after ABS-CBN released its teaser of Vice Ganda’s interview with the couple, which will be shown on April 2. In the interview, Marlon asks Pia to be “officially” his girlfriend. Even before Kit's revelation, Pia is aware of the issue as she was asked about it in the Downy event on March 8.

“I really don’t understand why some people still have something bad to say about us. Because I think, we’re just a reflection of every other couple out there, happy,” Pia said of her relationship with the race car driver.

“I think, being a beauty queen and being a Miss Universe, ‘di naman distraction ‘yun kasi I’ve always been dedicated to my jobs and I still am and he’s the same. So, we’re just pushing each other to be the best that we can be,” she shared during the interview with reporters at the Downy Parfum launch.

According to Pia, Marlon has always been sweet and caring. In fact, “mas malambing sya sa’kin,” she said.

The couple, however, still has no plans to tie the knot.

“We haven’t talked about that and I’m not thinking about that as well. I’m very career-driven. My focus right now is my work. Marami pa akong gustong ma-achieve sa trabaho,” said the beauty queen, who has been eyeing to become the next actress to star in the revival movie of iconic Filipino superhero, Darna.
