IN PHOTOS: Family-centered activities enjoyed at Lancaster New City
MANILA, Philippines – A fun run, weekend market, health talks, life-sized games, colorful arts and crafts, kite decorating and flying workshops, and more filled a summer weekend of a lot of families last May 1 at Lancaster New City’s Grand Family Weekend in Cavite.
Wearing their Grand Family Weekend Fun Run shirts, 2,000 participants enjoyed the run inside Lancaster New City’s 1,400-hectare township development. All the participants were given medals after the run.
At the wellness corner, they also received thoughtful prizes and freebies from the Grand Family Weekend event sponsors like Walter Bread, Mont Albo, Regroe, Mary Pauline Salon, Vita Active, Mary Kay, and Dermplus.
Families even got to check out the various booths in the vicinity. One was the Healthy Weekend market where people discovered interesting finds from fresh lemonade and organic sugar cane juices to malunggay chips and natural hand cleanser sprays.
The Arts and Crafts booth was definitely the children’s corner where they enjoyed activities like face painting, footstool and tie-dye painting, and flip-flop decorating. There was also a pet-feeding and life-sized games area where parents and their children played Tic-Tac-Toe, Jenga, and Snakes & Ladders.
Kids and kids-at-heart also had fun learning how to decorate and fly kites with the help of the Kite Association of the Philippines.
Lancaster New City is the Family-Friendly City as it stays committed to making it a place where families can bond together through various fun and engaging activities.
“In a nutshell, the Grand Family Weekend was a fun day that gave every family the opportunity to bond over simple yet enjoyable outdoor activities,” one participant commented.
