Lorna Tolentino on what keeps her going

Joyce Jimenez - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – Health is Lorna Tolentino's current top priority.

At her age of 53, she is able to maintain her good physique and do different activities with her two-year-old granddaughter Laila Victoria.

“I think it should be your top priority,” said Lorna about health, in an interview on Tuesday at the Watsons “Switch and Save” event. “Kasi papaano ka naman, paano naman ang mga susunod mong gustong gawin if you’re not healthy?”

“Health is wealth, sabi nga nila. ‘Yon na siguro ang pinaka bonus mo sa buhay, kung helathy ‘yong sarili mo, mas makakaipon ka,” she added.

Aside from healthy diet, exercise and enough sleep, Lorna’s another secret in taking care of her health is avoiding stress.

It may seem impossible, but she advises everyone to “think of positive thoughts," especially during stressful moments "Kasi ‘yon lang talaga, e, be positive all the time para mawala ang stress. Kahit stressful na ‘yan, immediately pray para matanggal ang negativity na ‘yan and move forward.”

When asked about love, Lorna reiterated that she's happy to remain single. The veteran actress has been single for seven years now, since the death of husband Rudy Fernandez in 2008.

Although she doesn’t want to close any possibility, Lorna said that “I’m happy how it is now. Wala kong iniisip na parang another kind of love sa ngayon except family ko and granddaughter ko.”

“Kung dumating siya, fine, welcome. ‘Wag nating pilitin,” she concluded.
