Siemens is optimistic in deploying its first DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) installation in the country.
Guenther Binder, SVP for Siemens Phils. Information and Communication Networks, said, "Siemens DWDM technology has gained worldwide recognition, particularly in the Asian region. As the major operators prepare to build the next-generation network, we are positive that Siemens can bring its DWDM technology in the Philippines to support the need for high-capacity transmission capacity, especially for mobile and data networks."
He added that Siemens Phils. has gained reputation of building the longest fiber in the world by laying 5,500 kilometers of fiber optic cable.
Citing this success, Binder said he is confident in Siemens delivery, implementation and service expertise which has been proven in the local industry.
