Bail was fixed at P24,000 for each charge filed separately by Paolo Duterte and Manases Carpio. He paid a total of P96,000.

Paolo is the son of President Rodrigo Duterte and a former vice mayor of Davao City, and Carpio is the husband of current Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

The charges stemmed from Trillanes' allegations linking them to the smuggling of billions worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

Paolo Duterte also said that Trillanes accused him of engaging in extortion from ride-sharing firm Uber and other companies.
