MANILA, Philippines — A number of academic institutions and local government units announced suspension of classes and work on December 8 in observance of various occasions.
Some cities and towns declared a special non-working day in observance of their founding and cityhood anniversaries while Catholic academic institutions celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
