DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Who advises President Duterte?

“I do not have any adviser. I do not listen to anyone who tells me what to do or say. I listen to no one,” President Duterte told The STAR in a recent interview.

Special Assistant to the President Christopher Go briefs the President every day, but Duterte explained that he does not have any adviser in carrying out his duties as the leader of the land.

And while he has many supporters as well as bashers on Facebook, the President does not know how to use FB.

There is an Official Rody Duterte Facebook page and the President is updated on everything that comes out on social media about him and the administration, but he does not have a personal Facebook account.

“No. I still do not know how to use Facebook. Somebody just gives me updates,” he said.

Duterte, 72, also admitted that he does not even know the meaning of “tag me” that people say whenever they take group-fies or selfies with him. 

Duterte is a wide reader and spends most of his free time reading.

While many have been complaining of Duterte’s coarse language, the President remains unaffected by all the negative feedback and still enjoys high satisfaction rating a year into office.
