PSG looking into shooting incident at Malacañang Park

MANILA, Philippines (Updated 2:30 p.m.) — The Presidential Security Group is looking into a shooting incident inside Malacañang Park but has yet to issue a statement.
According to the PSG, Maj. Harim Gonzaga, 37, was found dead "due to a gunshot wound in his chest area."
Gonzaga was found in his quarters in Malacañang Park around 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday. The PSG Complex, which houses the elite multi-agency unit tasked with securing the president and other VIPs, is located in the park.
The PSG said it "does not want to speculate [on] the cause of his death and will wait for the official findings of [Scene of Crime Operatives] as the command pays high respect to the privacy of his immediate family."
B.Gen. Lope Dagoy, PSG commander, said forensic experts have found no signs of foul play.
