MANILA, Philippines — The Senate Committee on Public Services on Thursday commenced its hearing into the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s issues against ride-sharing applications.
The hearing will be led by Senate panel chair Sen. Grace Poe.
The inquiry will also look into various Senate resolutions which discuss guidelines for ride-sharing apps like Uber and Grab. The senators will also review penalties for vehicles of Transport Network Vehicle Service Operators, as well as taxi passengers’ bill or rights.
