Rains, thunderstorms during SONA – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines - Rains and thunderstorms will greet supporters and protesters of President Duterte as he delivers his second State of the Nation Address (SONA) tomorrow afternoon.
In a weather outlook released yesterday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila and Central Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms on Monday, July 24 due to the southwest monsoon.
The state weather bureau forecast the temperature to range from 24°C to 31°C.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) had earlier said that around 12,000 to 15,000 protesters are expected to hold rallies in Quezon City, particularly along Commonwealth Avenue and near the premises of Batasang Pambansa complex where Duterte will deliver his SONA.
