Manileños cautioned vs heat stroke
May 6, 2017 | 9:05pm
MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada yesterday urged Manileños to protect themselves from heat stroke and other illnesses brought by the summer season.
Estrada ordered the city health department to conduct information campaign in barangays and educate residents about heat exhaustion, sore eyes, prickly heat and chicken pox.
Residents should be trained to apply first-aid during emergencies, Estrada said.
“Heat stroke should not be taken for granted because it can lead to loss of lives,” he added.
