MMDA to shut down bus terminal

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is set to close down the terminal of a bus firm in Quezon City, an official said yesterday.

MMDA officer-in-charge Tim Orbos said he will notify the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and barangay officials “to serve the legal notice for closure” for Dimple Star’s terminal. “This is not a bus terminal – no place for passengers to wait; buses beyond the number allowed; no nose in, nose out; and no barangay permit,” he posted on his Facebook account.

Orbos said the LTFRB and the barangay will be notified about the bus terminal next week, or after the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.
