Seminar on gov’t procurement law slated

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  The 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) of the Procurement law that took effect on Oct. 28, 2016 will impact on all private-government procurement transactions. To help stakeholders understand these changes, the Center for Global Best Practices will hold a rerun of its two-day seminar titled, “What You must Know About the Government Procurement Law IRR 2016” on March 30 and 31 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

This is part of a two-series program with the other one  titled “How To Prepare Your Bidding Documents” to be held on April 20 and 21 (at the Marriott Hotel) in anticipation of the  changes in the bidding documents.

The private sector can win big if it fully understand the procurement law and its IRR including the changes on BAC composition and its functions, guidelines in the formulation and revision of APP, registration, eligibility requirements and submission of bids under the PhilGEPS, form and contents of bidding documents, alternative methods of procurement and eligibility requirements for the procurement of infrastructure, goods, and services.

The program is highly recommended for BAC chairpersons and their members, government officials in the national government agencies, LGUs and GOCCs as well as the business sector – suppliers, contractors and consultants and would be players – who want to participate and do business with the government.
