Estrada undergoing treatment for pneumonia

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada is currently in a hospital for pneumonia, his son Sen. JV Ejercito said in a radio interview.
 
Ejercito said on radio dzBB that Estrada was brought to the hospital two nights ago, adding that the 79-year-old former president was pale and had a hard time breathing when he was brought in.
 
"Siya po ay may pneumonia. Meron siyang kaunting infection sa lungs," Ejercito said, adding that it may be due to fatigue.
 
Ejercito did not disclose which hospital his father is being treated in. He said that his father is now slowly recovering, and is being closely monitored by doctors.
