Teleperformance, Accenture draw first blood in E-League semifinals

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Teleperformance All-Stars and the Accenture Sharks downed separate foes to move a win away from setting up  a championship match in the Elite Classic of the 12th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The same goes to the Supportsave Dragons and Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties in the Evo League.

Marcos Jungoy III and Kevin Clark Navaja each had 11 points and James Lester Navaja added 10 as the All-Stars escaped past the Lexmark Stallions, 64-60, while Junas Marion Misa and Ryan Edward Llanos conspired for 37 points, seven assists, six rebounds and five steals as the Sharks stunned defending champion Convergys Converters, 62-60, in the other semifinal pairing that also went down-the-wire.

Thus, the All-Stars and the Sharks need only a victory to march into the finals,in the same way with the Dragons and the Tech Mighties in the Evo League.

Niño Belande sparkled with 21 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists as the Dragons upended the Dynnino Raptors, 62-50, while EJ Saavedra had a solid double-double show of 20 points and 11 rebounds laced with five assists and four steals to power the Tech Mighties to a 69-66 stunner over the QBE Generals.
