WATCH: Duterte complains about presidential duties
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte discouraged mayors and governors on Thursday not to run for president.
At the oathtaking ceremony of local officials at Malacañang, Duterte said he got "fooled" into running for president—a job requiring immense responsibilities and not offering enough salary.
"Nagpaloko kasi ako... pag-upo ko pa lang nung first day nang hindi pa ako na proclaim, sa Davao, hanggang alas-3, alas-4 (nang umaga, nagta-trabaho ako)," Duterte said.
