MANILA, Philippines (Philippine News Agency) - The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Wednesday issued a lookout bulletin against the five alleged "narco generals" who were earlier named by President Rodrigo Duterte as the alleged protectors of drug lords in the country.

The DOJ issued the order based on the request of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) since there is already an ongoing investigation against the so-called "narco generals."

Included in the list are retired Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo Jr., retired Chief Superintendent and now Daanbantayan, Cebu Mayor Vicente Loot, and the active PNP officials, namely, former National Capital Regional Police Office Director Joel Pagdilao, former Quezon City Police District Director Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tinio and former Region VI Director Chief Superintendent Bernardo Diaz.

The lookout bulletin was signed by DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.

The DOJ immediately sent a copy of the lookout bulletin to Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, who will implement the order and monitor the movements of the five former and active PNP officials in the country's airports and seaports.

The three active police officials' cases were already turned over by PNP Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa to the National Police Commission while the retired officials cases are being handled by the DILG. — With a report from Philstar.com/Rosette Adel
