PAGASA monitors LPA in PAR
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday reported that it is monitoring a low pressure area inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The LPA was first located 1,050 kilometers east of Virac Radar, Bato, Catanduanes around 4:00 a.m. while it moved and was traced 1,035 kilometers east of Baler Aurora at 10:00 a.m.
The state weather bureau, meanwhile, warned the public of southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon.
In its Tuesday forecast, PAGASA said there will be occasional rains over Ilocos region and over the provinces of Zambales and Bataan while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA earlier said in its weekly outlook that no tropical cyclone is expected to enter the country within the week.
