Gunmen strafe Davao radioman’s house
DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Unidentified armed men strafed the house of a radio broadcaster in Digos City, Davao del Sur before dawn yesterday.
Marlan Allan Malnegro of Gold FM was unhurt in the gun attack, which happened at 1:46 a.m.
Malnegro said the glass window and sliding door of his house were damaged.
Responding police officers arrived at the scene at around 3 a.m., he said.
Malnegro said the strafing incident could be the handiwork of those behind the proliferation of illegal drugs and operators of illegal gambling in Digos City.
“I have been reporting about the illegal drugs and illegal gambling operations in the city for the past days,” he said.
“The local government and police have not done anything to stop illegal gambling in the city,” Malnegro added.
