Ready for the world

Saison Dampios, Jr. - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  Yesterday, June 9, culinary students of Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) invited select members of the local media, educators and travel agents to sample a few of the dishes they have learned to prepare at the training center.

It was not only a culinary sampling, though, as the MIHCA hospitality students were also the ones that served the three-course lunch. The fine food was very well complemented by the polite service. It was clear that these students were getting ready for the world.

MIHCA prepares students for deployment at various hospitality establishments worldwide, mainly at cruise ships and other tourism-oriented companies. The courses offered include Professional Culinary Arts, Professional Baking and Pastry Arts, Food and Beverage Services, Housekeeping Services etc. Many of the students are graduates of degree courses who want more rewarding job alternatives.

Top-of-the-line training facilities ensure that students are properly acclimated to actual job conditions. In Cebu, MIHCA is located along F. Ramos Street (beside Metrobank-Ramos Branch. Inquiries may be directed to phone number +6332 254-0942 or +63917 587 4689. (FREEMAN)
