MANILA, Philippines - South Korea has recorded its second case of Zika virus, a man who had a history of travel to the Philippines.
Xinhua news agency reported that the 20-year-old man had claimed to have been bitten by mosquitoes while staying in the Philippines for five days from April 9 to 14.
The man developed symptoms of flu on April 20 and started manifesting rashes two days later.
It was the second Zika case in South Korea since a 43-year-old man was diagnosed with the virus on March 22.
Health Secretary Janette Garin said the new case had been confirmed by the US Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Garin said the patient is well and not in the Philippines anymore.
She added those who came in contact with the patient in the country were not manifesting symptoms.
