Duterte catches up with Poe in Pulse Asia poll
MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte shared the top spot with Sen. Grace Poe in the latest Pulse Asia presidential survey.
Poe and Duterte are statistically tied with 26 percent and 25 percent, respectively, in the survey commissioned by ABS-CBN Corp.
Vice President Jejomar Binay ranked third with 22 percent followed by former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas with 20 percent. Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago scored 3 percent.
Meanwhile, Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Sen. Chiz Escudero were also statistically tied in the vice presidential poll with 25 percent and 24 percent, respectively.
Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo scored 20 percent while Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano obtained 13 percent.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Sen. Gringo Honasan both registered single digits with 6 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
The survey was conducted from March 8 to 13 among 4,000 respondents nationwide with a margin error of +/- 1.5 percent.
This was the first survey taken after the Supreme Court issued a decision allowing Poe to run for president.
