MANILA, Philippines — Senators are eyeing to get the consent of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) branch manager Maia Santos-Deguito to release the transcript of the testimony she made in an executive session on Thursday.

The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee held an executive session to hear the side of Deguito in connection to her involvement in the $81-million money laundering scandal following the public inquiry.

"She was very cooperative in the executive session and one of these days we'll probably get permission from her to release most of the story that she told us in executive session because her version is very helpful," Sen. Sergio Osmeña III said in a telephone interview with ANC on Thursday evening.

Osmeña noted that Deguito's testimony during the executive session brought the investigation of the money laundering scandal "closer to the truth."

"This is not the work of one person alone. There are several groups involved and we are out to make those connect... We are going to connect the dots," Osmeña said.

A bank employee told the Senate that Deguito withdrew P20 million from the unauthorized account of businessman William Go and loaded the cash in her car.

Meanwhile, Go has allowed the bank to look into his alleged accounts at the RCBC Jupiter branch in Makati to prove his innocence.
