Fair weather to prevail on Valentine’s Day
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday said fair weather will continue on Sunday.
PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said the country will experience fair weather as the easterlies remain to be the dominant weather system over the country but warned that there are expected isolated thunderstorms.
"Except for isolated thunderstorms we'll have fair weather for the entire country on Valentine’s Day and also within next three days," Aurelio said.
Aurelio said the northeast monsoon slightly weakened but may return this week.
The whole archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and Caraga Region.
Luzon will have light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast while Visayas and Mindanao will have winds coming from the east to northeast.
On the other hand, the coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
Due to this, the weather bureau did not issue any gale warning as fishermen are safe to venture into the seas.
