LP to start campaign rally in Roxas City

MANILA, Philippines – The Daang Matuwid Coalition fronted by Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II will hold its first campaign rally at his home town, Roxas City, Capiz, on February 9.

Roxas will be joined by running mate Camarines Sur Rep. Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo and the whole LP senatorial slate as the three-month campaign period officially starts on Tuesday.

Roxas City, named after Roxas’s grandfather Manuel Roxas Sr., will serve as the main bailiwick of the Daang Matuwid Coalition.

During the kickoff rally hosted by LP Chairman and Senate President Franklin Drilon, President Benigno Aquino III is expected to attend.

LP will also head to Iloilo City where Roxas is set to pronounce his platform and the party’s agenda before his supporters.
